What does your typical day look like?

As a Machine Operator you will be working as part of the Operations Team operating high speed wrapping machines and checkweighers, as well as checking codes and completion of daily production documentation. You will monitor the finished biscuits on one of our production lines whilst managing the packing of the finished product, setting up and maintaining the machines during Production run on Packing Floor through the final stages of wrapping the biscuits. You will also be responsible for changing machines between Production runs. It’s a fast paced role and requires a certain level of fitness as it does have a large element of physical work in order to complete the tasks to a high standard. Attention to detail is key as we pride ourselves in the quality of our products.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

Previous Machine Operator experience is preferred but not essential as full training can be given. You might want to apply if you have had experience in one of the following positions: Warehouse operator, Printer, CNC Operator, Process Operator, Packer, Picker or Welder. You will be numerate, literate, flexible, self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative. Previous experience of working as part of a team is essential. Previous Food Manufacturing experience and a basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is desirable, but not essential as training will be given.
