Canteen Assistant - Part Time

Our on-site canteen is getting busier and busier, therefore to support the existing team we're looking to recruit an additional part time Canteen Assistant.

This is a permanent, part time position paying £10.42 per hour working Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 1.30pm at our head office, Leeds Road, Huddersfield.

So what else will you be responsible for?

• Serving both hot and cold food to staff as requested.
• Tidying away and cleaning equipment, plates and utensils.
• Cleaning facilities to ensure a tidy kitchen at all times.
• Preparing and displaying food ready for service.
• Ensure the surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Re-stock the vending machine, drinks fridge and snack cupboard

What’s really important to us?

• As you'd expect you must have excellent customer service skills.
• A good understanding and appreciation of the importance of food hygiene standards
• Our ideal candidate will have worked in a kitchen or canteen environment previously, and it would be really beneficial if you have a valid level 2 food hygiene certificate.
• Finally as it is can get really busy, you must be able to work under pressure and with varying demands
