Due to extensive growth we are recruiting for a number of Health Care Assistants.
Chesford Grange – in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent
Chesford Grange Nursing Home is looking to recruit full time Healthcare Assistants, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Chesford Grange is a new service and will initially cater for 62 residents, building up to its full potential over the coming months. This is an exciting time to join Capital Care Group as you will be part of a new team creating a fantastic service.
NVQ related Pay Structure for Health Care Assistants
- NVQ L3 Health and Social Care Adults - £10.00 p/h
- NVQ L2 Health and Social Care Adults - £9.75 p/h
- No NVQ - £9.50
Role of a Health Care Assistant:
To support the delivery of care for service users at the home ensuring that all care needs are met in a timely manner with due regard to privacy, dignity, respect, and rights of each service user in the home.
Key responsibilities of a Health Care Assistant:
- To provide personal care and support to Service Users using a person centered approach under the direction of and alongside Senior staff within the home.
- To know and understand the care and support of the Service Users.
- To encourage independence and maintain Service Users skills and abilities in all aspects of daily living where possible.
- To assist Service Users getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
- To assist Service Users to wash, bath and shower.
- To assist Service Users to dress and undress.
- To assist Service Users to look after their skin, teeth, hair and nails.
- To assist Service Users with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene.
- To assist Service Users with their nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
- To help maintain a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for colleagues and Service Users.
- To ensure the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times.
- To carry out cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
- To use manual handling equipment safely and to use correct techniques.
- To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with Service Users, their family, and professional visitors.
- To help the Service Users to maintain contact with their family and friends
- To accompany the Service Users on trips into the community when required.
- To act as a Key Worker for an identified Service User.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
