About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher with excellent subject knowledge to teach Physics on the Level 2 & L3 BTEC Applied Science study programmes for 16-18 year olds, at Westminster Kingsway, Kings Cross Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the Pearson’s Level 2 and Level 3 Applied Science, units to include Energy and our Universe and Applications of Physical Science at level 2 and Electrical Circuits, Energy Changes and Medical Physics at Level 3. Physics is a popular subject amongst our learners and we wish to appoint a reflective practitioner, who is able to build on the existing strengths of our learners and continue the success of our physics offering. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the curriculum manager in implementing the departments improvement plan, whilst delivering first class, quality and creative lessons in line with the departmental teaching and learning policy.

About you:

You will hold an Honours Degree in a Science subject, have relevant experience teaching Physics to 16-18 year olds up to level 3. You will also hold or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards and keeping high quality documentation.
