Care Assistant

The Cedars is an established care in Methley, south Leeds near to Castleford, caring for 44 older people with dementia.

We are looking for a Care Assistant to work day shifts 7am -2pm/ 2pm -9pm/ 4pm -7.30pm 28-35 hours per week including alternate weekend.

Duties include:-

Supporting residents with person centred care needs, including physical, emotional, social needs, promoting independence and choice.

Working alongside District Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and other professionals who are involved in their care.

Ensuring the clear and accurate record are maintained.

Experience working in a care setting with NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate would be an advantage. However we are willing to provide training for anyone who is new to care.

Applicants need be able to work as part of a team, be self motivated, flexible and dedicated.

Full induction and ongoing training will be given.

30p per hour is payable additional to the hourly rate of pay, plus weekend enhancement pay.
