We have an amazing opportunity for the right person/s to join our growing team of absolutely crazy pet lovers.
If you love animals, don't mind getting extremely wet and muddy, can work in a VERY busy environment keeping the attention to details we require, give endless care for our pet guests then read on.
We are looking for the right person/s to join us working within a busy cattery and kennels, daycare.
You will be on an Apprenticeship, Training will be onsite Training involves Physically working with pets as well as academic studies online on a modular basic. Both to be completed at a high consistent level. You will training to NVQ level 2 animal care level, the starting wage is £4.81 apprenticeship wages.
You will be part of a team caring for the day to day up keeping of the pets in our care.
We have very high standards and expect all our team to put the care and welfare of the pets at the highest level.
You will be responsible for the cleaning of the accommodation, feeding, exercise of dogs and maintaining the comfort and well-being of the cats and their surroundings.
We also board various other kinds of pets, Rabbits, birds, ferrets, Reptiles etc.
The role involves a lot of cleaning! walking, lifting. All candidates need to be aware that this is a very labor intensive and active job. You will NOT be just cuddled up with pets, you have to pick up poo too.

We operate a pet hotel for pets and as such our pets well-being is our primary concern at all times.
Working with the cats you will have a knowledge and natural affinity with cats, understanding that attention to detail is standard and Every Cat must be treated as an individual ensuring their stay is the best that can be achieved. A high standard of cleaning and attention to details is required. Diets need to be understood fully. Cat grooming is standard too.
Working mainly with the dogs, this is a very labor intensive role, attention to detail and a very high level of physical stamina is required. Our pet get lots of exercise and as such not only is it important to be able to sustain the energy to ensure our dog guests get the exercise but also the environment is kept immaculate at all times.
Not all dogs are the same and as such it is important that all various temperaments are understood and pets' individual needs are met.
Our aim is to maintain, preferably to improve on the dogs confidence if required and for a dog guest to go home tired having had a great fun packed time, happy and fully relaxed after a great holiday experience with us. We are caring for people's families and as such all pets are important to us.
We are Busy all year round. You need to be able to forward plan, be alert, responsive and patient at all times.
Maintain Safety, follow instructions correctly and be a 100% team player.
You will need to follow instructions correctly, good logistics skills.
Shifts are on a 7 day shared rota, 2 days off per week, start times from 6.45am

We work on a 7 day rota, all are classed as normal working days.
We start early, working shifts throughout the day
We operate for boarding 365 day a years so all applicants must be aware they will be expected to work on some bank holidays on a pro rota basis within the team
The post is full time.
