Job Title:
Import/Export Coordinator
Location:

Import/Export Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Timely and efficient completion of all administration related to Company exports and Imports whilst establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external export contacts as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Creation of invoices and any other accompanying necessary documentation to enable the export of consignments in the time frames agreed with the UK associated markets.
  • Liaise with Freight forwardarders/Couriers in the organization of pickup and delivery of consignments and insuring the correct documentation is issued on time.
  • Raising and processing of purchase orders received from UK associated markets in the agreed time frames.
  • Carry out compliance and audit checks on HMRC entries and paperwork.
  • Provide concise written instructions for the correct method of clearance of all import and export shipments
  • Raise and issue paperwork to facilitate the transfer of goods for temporary and permanent export and import between international markets.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the business internally and externally.
  • Provide internal training and support when necessary on all import and export related queries.
  • Prioritise shipments in line with business requirements
Although comprehensive, the job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be added according to the needs of the business and as requested by the Export Administration Manager or Supervisor, the Supply and Service Manager, the Operations Director or other senior management
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Proven experience within an import/export environment, understanding of the relevant rules, regulations and compliance. (Minimum 2 years)
Must be computer literate, with previous SAP/MS Excel experience an advantage
Able to communicate with internal and external departments in a courteous manner via phone, email and personal meetings as necessary.
Self-motivated, organized and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and approach to work as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
