We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic night shift packer to join our small but busy team. You will be working within the catering trade which is fast paced and demanding. We are a family run business based in Granton in Edinburgh and deliver throughout Scotland.

The Night Shift Packer Team Leader is responsible for completing general warehouse operative tasks, as well as, daily shift management and supervisory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise shift tasks and distribute to the team appropriately
• Training and mentoring of new packers
• Monitoring packer pick rates and addressing issues as they arise
• Supervising 4-6 packers
• Organising the packer rota ensuring adequate cover for shifts
• Accurately and efficiently packing customer orders with fresh produce and a variety of sundry items.
• Providing our customers with 1stclass produce is extremely important to us and as such you will be expected to complete a through quality check of all items as you pack them.
• Ensuring nightly clean down is complete
• Ensuring relevant product safety checks and paperwork are completed

Skills

• Experience of wholesale, packer/ picker, warehouse or supermarket role is essential
• Experience of taking the lead within a team and daily shift management tasks is essential
• Applicant must be able to ensure a high level of accuracy while working efficiently
• Ability to develop a good product and customer knowledge
• Be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Please note this is a very physical job which involves being on your feet and regular manual handling lifting up to 25kg

Hours of Work

5 nights per week (Sunday- Friday) from 8pm until orders finished (approx. between 4am and 6:30am)

Please note that due to the remote location of the business and lack of public transport throughout the night applicants must have their own transport or live locally.
