The role

Checkout.com is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Risk&ID product group and help us build the Underwriting Tool.

Our Risk and Identity Services teams work in different ways to provide safety and compliance for both Checkout.com and our Merchants.

The Underwriting Tool aims to support our operations teams by leveraging automation to reduce time consuming manual tasks while increasing the quality and accuracy of the reviews. The tool is designed to speed up the underwriting process of new merchants from all regions while meeting our legal requirements and ensuring AML/CTF requirements are covered.

How you’ll make an impact

• Plan for the long term vision of our infrastructure and its quality while not overengineering.
• Contribute to designing, developing, and delivering new features for our products while also maintaining existing ones.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver key functionalities.
• Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications.
• Maintain high quality standards and best practices for code, infrastructure and documentation.
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Participate in team knowledge management and make recommendations for continuous improvement of SDLC.

What we’re looking for

• Proven background in Software Development, Design and Architecture, with security in mind
• Proven experience with software design patterns
• Strong experience with .NET Core and ASP.NET Core
• Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with Unit and Integration testing
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
• Cloud-based application development experience
• Enjoy learning new skills and using the best tools for the job
• Superb communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
