Role Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly professional and hardworking paralegal to join the in-house legal team in our London office in this newly created role.

Reporting to our in-house Solicitor, the person in this role will play a key role in supporting the Group’s legal function and could be ideal for an experienced professional legal administrator or paralegal or a graduate who is driven and keen to learn.


What you’ll be doing

  • Review documents, materials and standard agreements.
  • Assist with drafting documents and correspondence.
  • Monitor and track the Group’s compliance training performance and update records accordingly.
  • Carry out compliance and legal research.
  • Manage mailboxes for the team, deal with enquiries and take messages, and escalate to the Solicitor where needed.
  • File and maintain up to date records of legal-related documents.
  • Maintenance of the contract management system, and inputting of contract information.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets.
  • Archive departmental records and general administrative duties to support the team.
  • Contribute to team projects.
  • Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous relevant experience to the day-to-day operations of a legal office an advantage
  • Familiarity with the law and legal procedures
  • High attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Ability to- work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritise tasks
  • Proactive and organised, able to meet strict deadlines
  • Professional, friendly and helpful
  • Calm in nature, and able to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communicator, able to liaise with people at all levels (both verbal and written)
  • Strong command of English spelling and grammar
  • Good administration skills and numerate
  • Willing and able to grasp and quickly learn
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and committed
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Shipping knowledge would be advantageous
