Position Overview & Specifications

Comex 2000 is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Fibre Splicer to join our Community Fibre - Build team in London.

What are we looking for?

Are you a committed, hard-working and eager to learn individual? Then come join the Comex 2000 family!

We are looking for an experienced Fibre Splicer to play a key role in splicing and testing on existing and new build networks in line with client specifications.

An ideal candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience working on a live fibre network, as well as experience of OTDR testing and fusion splicing.

What will you be doing?

As a Fibre Splicer, your core responsibilities will be –

  • Splicing – Fusion splicing (Fujikura 60s, 70s), live network splicing, hard splicing and patching
  • Build new splice points using joint closures and optical distribution frames
  • Testing – OTDR/ILM/PMD/CD, produce fibre characterisation reports, analyse trace results to troubleshoot faults
  • Read and understand Visio diagrams
