Community360 has a proven track record of already providing transport services in both Colchester and Maldon. We are soon to be merging with Chelmsford Community Transport and are seeking someone who can join a busy team providing transport to those who cannot access public transport for appointments, services, activities and facilities. The Scheme improves the transport provision for people in the local community who have limited mobility (be it through permanent or temporary disablement, illness, accident or age) or who would otherwise be socially excluded or geographically isolated.

The Position

This role will suit someone who likes to “go the extra mile” and has a flexible approach. Duties include driving a fully accessible minibus and transporting individuals or groups to/from a range of activities including:

· Discharge from hospital

· Medical/health/therapy appointments

· Shopping trips, hairdresser appointments or other socially related event

· Excursion trips

You will bring:

· Experience of driving up to 16-seater minibuses

· Flexible approach essential

· Empathic and caring nature

· A passion for helping people whilst having our valuesat the heart of what you do

· Resilience to deal with a fast paced environment

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· A full clean driving licence with Category D1 (preferable but not essential) and good local knowledge of the Colchester area.

MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) training will provided. Candidates are required to be aged 21 years or over in order to be covered by our Fleet Insurance.
