The Role
As the International Advice & Immigration Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive support service, providing immigration support for our international student body. To contribute to CURA’s role in maintaining compliance with the University’s Student Sponsor licence and to promote and improve the international student experience.
You will conduct interviews and financial document checks under Coventry University's Student sponsor licence prior to sponsoring any international students. You will an excellent customer service experience to students in the areas of immigration assistance, student support, and pre-enrolment compliance.
You will assist the International Student Advisor team with the annual renewal of the sponsorship licence with the UKVI in coordination with the Coventry University Groups Compliance Team. You will compile and provide data for the annual compliance assessment by maintaining data on refusal and non-enrollers across all Group campuses and all intakes.
Person Specification
- Educated to A-level, a degree would be advantageous
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Experience of working with customers from outside the EU and of culturally diverse backgrounds
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Access.
- Understand of UK immigration system would be advantageous
