The Job

We are recruiting a Design and Cost Estimator Assistant to join our Design Team responsible for the costing of materials and processes for the manufacturing of their Designs alongside providing admin and design assistance to the CAD Design team. Each member of this team is expected to be adaptable and inventive, learning and developing the variety of processes and finishes as per the Cox London house style.

Reporting to the Senior Design Estimator, you will be expected to assist in providing and organising sales quotes, finding the best solutions while providing cost efficiency for product manufacturing. A comprehensive understanding of materials and processes is essential alongside being able to interpret production drawings. You will need to have a good rapport with all stakeholders in the business both in-house, and externally with suppliers to maintain and develop good working relationships. You will also have an eye for organisation and be able to form an efficient database administration. You will assist in day-to-day support to all the Design and Estimating team, where required. Liaising with both sales and production to ensure all information is collated and filed to enable the smooth running of the department. Good communication and organisation skills essential.
