FPGA Embedded Software Engineer

What will your work be?
This company is based in the Netherlands. In the beginning, you will have to visit this company for training. Afterwards this job can be done remotely from the UK. Since we are researching in the UK it is crucial that you are living here.
Within our development department, you will mainly work on the development of embedded software. It's important that you like to take responsibility and ensure that the development takes place in an efficient way. Creating embedded software for advanced laser systems and digital radio systems are part of your job. Depending on your expertise, you will also create production test software on the PC. If necessary, creating software for FPGAs is also part of your tasks. You work within a small team where high-quality and innovative solutions are developed through good cooperation. There is also close cooperation with the hardware development, to ensure that the hardware and software are optimally matched.

Who are we looking for?
- You have a completed relevant technical education, for example; computer science
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience in developing embedded software You have affinity with digital circuits and knowledge of modernmicrocontrollers.
- Knowledge of FPGAs (Xilinx Spartan 7) is recommended.
- You have a good knowledge of C++ programming language.
- Experience with FreeRTOS is required.
- You are precise in your work. You like to work in a small team and take responsibility for it.
- You have a critical attitude towards your own work and the work of others, in order to achieve an optimal result together.
