Position Overview & Specifications

Our boutique digital agency is currently seeking an experienced Digital / Website Designer

Those all-important, need-to-know job details:

  • £22 - 28k Salary (DOE)
  • Office-based position (Mansfield - NG21 0HJ)
  • Full-Time (or potential part-time job-share for the right candidate)
  • On-site parking available
  • Easy access via public transport, with plenty of local amenities available - including on-site nursery facilities (external provider). Accessible from Nottingham, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Newark, Worksop, Lincoln, Retford - and surrounding areas.

What you can expect day-to-day in this job role:

  • Researching and conceptualising initial design work in response to client briefs
  • Designing complete high-fidelity website prototypes and mock-ups
  • Refining designs using a range of software platforms
  • Producing branding and digital assets for a diverse range of B2B and B2C clients
  • Advising on and implementing UX and UI principles and best practice
  • Working with and supporting other members of the team
  • Working on a wide range of client and internal projects
  • Researching the latest trends in digital and web design
  • Working both under your own initiative and as part of a wider project team
  • Helping out with general duties ensuring at all times you meet with our company guidelines and standards
  • Working with WordPress CMS
  • Using a range of software systems, including the full Adobe software suite
  • Other design and website related activities

To be suitable for this position, you must bring to the table:

  • A track record of commercial work and a diverse portfolio tha you’re happy to share with us
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite design packages i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with website design
  • Minimum of 3 years commercial graphic design experience
  • A deep understanding of the latest website UX and UI principles
  • Project management experience and skills
  • Experience working with WordPress CMS
  • Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Happy multi-tasking across diverse client briefs and tight turnaround schedules
  • A natural flare and eye for design across both digital and traditional media
  • Ability to take constructive feedback
  • Great attention to detail and consistency
  • A flexible, can-do attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to the team and the job role
  • Degree level education in Graphic Design or equivalent level of training
  • Have an approachable, friendly and positive attitude!
