Botcherby Plant, Carlisle - Bevcan Europe & Middle East
Your work environment:
The Botcherby plant located in Carlisle (UK) is a key site within Bevcan Europe & Middle East, producing 2.4 billion beverage cans and 6 billion can ends per annum. The Plant operates 24 hours per day on a continuous shift system, 360 days per annum and employs 350 people.
Your mission in CROWN:
As an Apprentice you will:
- Work as part of a large Engineering team
- Install & dismantle Electrical/ Mechanical equipment
- Learn how to diagnose and determine faults in equipment
- Carry out planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance activity
- Learn machining and fabrication skills
During the first year of the Apprenticeship programme training will be conducted at Carlisle College. Practical training will be supplemented throughout the rest of the apprenticeship with a comprehensive academic course at Carlisle College on Day Release.
The Successful Candidate:
Applicants must possess the following:
- GCSE standard Grade 4 or above in Mathematics and English
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn
- Enthusiasm
- A passion for Engineering
