Falls Service Technician/ OT/ PT Assistant Band 4

Croydon Health Services a Falls Service to operate within existing community services. This post is based at the Broad Green Centre and will work in conjunction with the Adult Community Occupational Therapy Service. This service will work with Primary and Secondary Care colleagues, as well as the voluntary sector.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 4 Technician, Assistant Occupational Therapist/ Physiotherapist, to carry out programmes following OT and/or PT assessment and intervention for this client group. There will be work with individuals, groups and some information giving to others. You will have an interest in this field of practice and wil some experience working independently as well as part of a team.

INTRODUCTION:
The post holder assists physiotherapists in the delivery of physiotherapy to adults in their relevant community setting. They work in frequent liaison with carers, nursing staff and colleagues within other areas of health provision and Social Services and the voluntary sector.

JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder’s own caseload of treatment programmes and mobility assessments, under the supervision of senior physiotherapists, includes a range of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological and mobility problems. The post holder employs good communication and interpersonal skills to support and teach these clients as well as their families and carers.
