Farm Manager

The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity to manage a large commercial mixed farm in the beautiful South Downs. The ideal candidate will have people management experience as well as a diverse and extensive career history in farm management. The role provides the opportunity to maintain a hands-on approach whilst overseeing the overall management of the farm as well as being a key part of the wider business management team. The successful candidate will have an active interest in current and future agricultural policy changes and be able to use this knowledge to make effective key management decisions.

Employer: A large and successful commercial mixed farming business that includes Dairy, Sheep, Beef, Pigs, Arable, Conservation and farm retail enterprises.

Skills Required:

Essential

• Experience of managing mixed farming enterprises
• A professional approach to managing people
• Proven ability in budgeting and financial reporting
• An exceptional communicator with the ability to present positively to individuals and groups
• The ability to get the work done whilst maintaining an organised and very tidy farm environment
• A broad view of the agricultural industry to enable effective planning and strategy

Remuneration: A significant salary and benefits package including exceptional pension contributions and a 3 bedroom farm cottage.
