As Continuous Improvement Manager you’ll support the Stores Team create and embed methods that result in continuous improvement principles being practiced and embraced. Motivating colleagues across all business areas, building continuous improvement teams and working with groups with a collective common goal of improving operational effectiveness, customer delivery and financial performance.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Working with business stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment, supporting an ongoing programme of change.
  • Identifying trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
  • Manage a team to facilitate process improvement-based workshops that drive ideas and solutions.
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a ‘best-in-class’ continuous improvement strategy that drives operational excellence and enhances the colleague and customer experience.
  • Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, store visits, business process descriptions, business analysis and workflow analysis.
  • Accountable for developing and managing the Continuous Improvement portfolio, usage of CI methods and tools, management of resources and process improvement hubs, and developing the company's CI capability and culture.

Experience required:
  • Hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and lean solutions
  • Implementing a framework of continuous improvement in a multiple operation environment
  • Designing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency issues, and track record of following through to ensure closure
  • Understanding of continuous improvement concepts e.g Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping
  • Stakeholder engagement communication
  • Project and product management, able to translate business needs into requirements
