Position Overview & Specifications

Cygnet is looking for Support Workers (Days only) to join our team working at Devon Lodge. If you have previously worked or are currently working as a care assistant, healthcare assistant, or support worker looking for a new opportunity or your first role within Social Care to help support residents with Autism and Learning Difficulties within a care home setting as part of the NHS partnership.

Devon Lodge is a 12-Bed specialist residential care home supporting adults over the age of 18 with Autism and Learning Difficulties located in Hedge End (S030 2FL) 20-minutes’ walk from Hedge End Station.

What you will need:

  • Positive Attitude and Caring Approach
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • No previous care experience is required

About the Role:

  • Working from 08:00 am till 08:00 pm (12 Hour Shifts)
  • Working two weekends a month
  • 42-Hours a Week (Full-Time)
  • Helping to promote resident independence
  • Supporting residents in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
  • Going out with residents into the local community to attend parks, swimming and local cinema.
  • Taking part in activities held both within the care home
  • Completing resident’s records to help monitor health and overall well-being
