DGI are an International Dangerous Goods logistics Company. We specialise in the transportation of hazardous goods and time sensitive critical shipments both domestically and internationally, with tailored solutions for all customers. We have a positive above and beyond can do attitude and the business is built on exemplary customer service.

We are actively seeking an experienced Sales / Business Development Manager who strives to deliver high quality outcomes that drive business performance.

Reporting directly to the National manager, the Business Development Manager is a key organisational role which is directly responsible for driving business growth by maximising opportunities within new and existing markets.

As this role involves a high degree of sales prospecting and account management it will ideally suit a confident, organised and driven sales professional, with high energy and a passion for developing new business revenue.

In addition your Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Targeting new business
Maximising sales, grow brand presence and increase market share
Devising targeted sales campaigns
Developing key customer relationships
Building a solid direct sales pipeline and achieving pre-defined sales targets
Working closely with management and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met on a timely basis
Coordinating all international sales efforts with our subsidiaries and agents
Achieving required outcomes within budget

In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

A track record of successfully developing & implementing large-scale business development strategies and commercial negotiations with multi-national companies
A Strong track record of success both as an individual and as a leader
Evidence of delivering strategic initiatives, and successfully increasing revenue/profitability
The ability to develop and influence the outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative management style and the ability to forge highly productive working relationships
Highly-developed analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong commercial acumen
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
Self-motivation and an ability to work independently
An ability to manage pressure
Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to cope with multiple large-scale responsibilities
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a growing and changing organisation

Applicants with the following experience will be highly regarded:

Sales and airfreight focused operational experience gained within freight forwarding or a similar industry
Comprehensive freight and dangerous goods experience
