Position Overview & Specifications

Richard and his team, at our Pork production factory in Bugle are looking for a Product Support - (Fork Lift Truck skills ideally) colleague to join the team. The job will be part of a much larger operations team. We are looking for someone who can fit in to the family, friendly team and enjoy the growth of the site, as it continues to expand and go from strength to strength.

Working - Monday to Friday 06:30-14:30 and 14:30-22:30 on a weekly rotating basis

Area of Responsibility

Working in a non-meat goods inward area being responsible for unloading and booking in deliveries whilst suppling the factory with non-meat goods.

Be a reliable and dependable employee who understands the level of responsibility expected from the business.

Specific Tasks

· Ensure all staff are wearing correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes.

· Always comply with the food and hygiene requirements.

· Operate within the company health and safety standards and that workstations are always kept clean and tidy.

· Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your SL and support resolution as needed.

· Understanding and delivery of kpi’s.

· Ensure good standards of general manufacturing practice and that the department is always audit ready.

· Act as a role model and lead by example demonstrating core company values, behaviours, and high-performance standards at all times.

· Contribute and complete all training courses that are provided.

· Provide cover for other team members.

· Delivery of all intakes using the plans provided with an awareness of priorities and scheduling.

· Knowledge and understanding of SAP- Booking in deliveries, issuing stock out and transferring stock to different locations.

· Provide planning and all production teams with a daily update regarding any major shortages.

· Raise any concerns regarding stock on intake or when transferring around the factory.

· Ensure correct stock rotation when transferring ingredients or anything with a use by date from supplier.

· Making sure all booking in and stock movements are correctly put on SAP.

· Ensure all stock is consigned and rotated.

· Complete required daily SAP stocks and send to the MRP team.

· Place consumable orders when required.

Maintain high levels of organisation and cleanliness in the main-store, lower and upper ingredients and the yard.

Relevant Experience & Skills

  • Knowledge of supply chain – including requirements and expectations from intake through to processing, packing, despatch and the end customer.
  • Experience working in factory/production environment.
  • Communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge and understanding of meat industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and tasks.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Knowing customer specifications/parameters.
  • Forklift experience.

Job Type: Full-time
