Project Accountant

My client is looking for an Accountant to provide financial information and analysis to my client’s business unit and support the maintenance of financial controls for the project.

My client is a leading defence organisation who are tasked with the delivery of major infrastructure and engineering projects across the globe.

You will be based remotely for this contract, with some travel to my clients Plymouth office required every month.

You must also be eligible to hold an SC Security Clearance to be considered for this role.

• Production of monthly overhead accounts for the project, including the analysis of under/overspend and information regarding key cost drivers.
• Production and interpretation of key financial models, including A4’s and contractor schedules.
• Conduct investigations into labour and overhead costs
• Ensure liaison with Managers to produce forecasts and budgets to established timetables.

• AAT Qualified / Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel
• Strong stakeholder management experience
• Good organisational skills.
• Experience of IFS and / or Business Analytics is desirable
