WAREHOUSE AND DRIVER OPERATIVE (MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 40 hours per week)

Role outlined

• Accurate picking of stock as required using picking note.
• Packing of stock ready for despatch, ensuring care and attention at all times to prevent any damage.
• Assisting with delivery of goods in.
• Unloading deliveries using a counterbalance forklift truck to unload vans and lorries.
• Reconciling delivered items against goods-in paperwork.
• Putting stock in correct stock locations.
• Assisting with stock relocation as requested.
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
• Working to deadlines to ensure orders are picked and despatched on time.
• Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in order to adhere to Company standards.
• When required, assist the transport department which may include making deliveries to our customers.
• Dealing with all departments and branches both in person and on the telephone.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers both in person and on the telephone.
• To ensure that the correct manual handling/lifting techniques are used when storing/preparing/returning goods.

What level of experience will I need?

• Experience gained within a warehouse environment
• Fork-lift experience preferred
• A full UK manual driving licence (for at least 12 months)
• A warm, caring and welcoming personality to our customers
• Self-motivated and team player
• Strong work ethic and the willingness to go the extra mile
