As a result of a career move, we’re looking for a Superintendent Pharmacist to oversee the running and continuous improvement of our multi-site Pharmacy function and the services it can offer in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Whilst simultaneously complying with all legal and regulatory requirements, you will be leading the Pharmacy team operationally across our UK & ROI sites and take ownership of all cross-functional key stakeholder relationships. This is a huge opportunity for growth, as the successful candidate will move into a more entrepreneurial environment and be the key decision-maker on how the Pharmacy department will develop. We need someone who is innovative in their thinking and wants to be part of the change.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with legislation, registration and professional bodies standards. Monitor and adapt to any changes as required across all sites and any future sites that operate pharmacy services under the DD group umbrella.
• Manage and motivate staff to maximise their potential whilst achieving business targets. Have clear lines of succession planning to help lead and develop all team members, across all sites.
• To engage, improve and develop the Pharmacy and other key aspects of the business such as medical skin care and the beauty market, including the implementation of new products and services. Overall raise the industry standing for MedFx as a brand.
• To research and seek out new business opportunities for Pharmacy/MedFx, including networking within the industry which is healthcare professional-led.
• Ensure the timely and cost-effective provision of pharmacy materials and equipment achieved through watertight processes, supplier relationships and key stakeholder engagement.

Experience and Skills required

• PSNI and GPHC registration or must be eligible to apply for a PSNI license. Please note you must not have any ongoing fitness-to-practice concerns.
• Managerial and digital/health experience essential
• Knowledge of the pharmacy environment, legalities and procedures in the UK and Irish or a willingness to learn about the Irish market.
• Ideally aesthetic industry knowledge, the digital pharma market and ideally a link to manufacturers.
• Ability to respond to different legal, company, regulatory and operational situations and provide solutions, ideas and documentation.
