Pre-School Nursery Nurse/ Practitioner

Dean Close Little Trees Nurseries, Christchurch are looking to recruit an an excellent Preschool Practitioner with a passion for Early Childhood Education to join our team in our nursery in Cheltenham. Our nursery is situated within one of our independent schools, Dean Close Airthrie.

• You must have a big smile that would make every child’s face light every day.
• Throughout the course of the day, you will have many varied roles. If a child requests, you to be a princess you will be the best princess ever, if a child requests you to be a dragon, you will be the best dragon ever!
• The ability to sing in tune is not necessary however the ability to sing out of tune in front of tiny humans is essential
• You must have the ability to read a book upside down and have 5 interruptions
• And finally, you must be prepared to engage in fun activities and be prepared to get messy.

The successful candidate is someone who is qualified to minimum level 2 in Childcare and Education, with scope to further professional development opportunities. Duties will include the observing and assessing of children's development, planning based on the child's interest ensuring that every child is included. A duty to safeguard children and have an awareness of Child Protection procedures. Play an active part with the strong links the nursery have developed with the school, thus ensuring the children receive a broad and balanced curriculum full of opportunities.
