The role of night assistant means you will deliver the high quality service set by the hotel and to go above and beyond guest expectations. Ensure the hotel is safe and secure throughout the night by managing through process and preparing the hotel for business for the following day.
- To be welcoming and approachable to all guests visiting the hotel.
- To manage guest reservations correctly using the hotel booking system. Ensure updates on bookings are managed in a timely manner to ensure a service and occupancy is not compromised.
- To be competent at operating standard office equipment as well as computers and all I.T and communication systems.
- To strictly follow the Delta Brand Standard policy and Laws in terms of Data Protection and Personal Identifiable Information.
- Know and conduct Standard Operating Procedures for the night shift and to be conversant with all areas of Front Office Procedures.
- To support the business by preparing conference rooms, the restaurants and bedrooms as required for the following day.
- To manage the daily running of the department by providing support such as voiding transactions, amending transactions and managing customer complaints.
- To be presentable in appearance in line with company presentation, cleanliness and uniform standards.
- To use and store all cleaning materials and chemicals as per Health and Safety guidelines procedures.
- To place particular emphasis and compliance on all working practices and training relating to fire safety.
- Report anything you see that requires attention in the way of maintenance issues to maintenance and to ensure this is communicated effectively to relevant departments (e.g. Front Office team, maintenance and the Executive Housekeeper).
