Position Overview & Specifications
You will be joining a growing multi-national business based in Pocklington, York. Our business involves the production of specialist, metal detectable and x-ray visible products which mitigate against foreign body contamination in food and pharmaceutical manufacture.
Based in our warehouse you would be picking and packing everything from single web orders to large intercompany orders. You would also be moving stock and unloading stock from and maintaining the keeping warehouse to keep the area clean, tidy and safe.
Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing orders.
- Loading and unloading of containers, stock and deliveries.
- Updating IT systems to ensure accurate stock control.
- Assist in unpacking, inspecting and quality checking products and their parts and re-packing.
- Raise quality assurance concerns before items shipped to customer or satellite facilities.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations within the company are adhered to.
- Maintaining a neat and tidy work area.
Requirements:
- Be able to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines.
- Deal with multiple orders simultaneously.
- Have a flexible approach. Although warehousing schedule is planned in advance, often project priorities will change.
Working relationships:
- Warehouse supervisor: You will receive training to bring you up to speed with local procedures and be your point of contact when difficulty arises.
- Sales team: Orders may be requested earlier due to customer interaction. You should be able to give updates on delivery of these.
- Company Directors: The company is structured for regular communication and updates with senior management.
