Overview
A unique and exciting opportunity to be the Commercial Finance Business Partner of a recently 100% acquired business – Don Papa Rum, responsible for the complete end to end financial management of a mid-sized complex company operating in multiple markets. Don Papa is a single island dark rum from the Philippines, growing rapidly in Europe thanks to its unique flavor profile, distinctive packaging / brand world design, and authentic brand story. The Commercial Finance Business Partner will be a key member of the Don Papa Finance team involved in leading on implementing the Diageo financial rhythm regarding reporting and forecasting as well as manging the integration of the acquired business into Diageo.
The financial management is considered a mid-sized relatively complex business given it is a recently acquired unique stand-alone entity with its own reporting system (Sage Intact), processes and controls.
The Don Papa Commercial Finance Business Partner will be a key member of the cross functional Don Papa Integration team and Don Papa finance team and be actively involved in the delivery of the current business goals whilst also aligning to Diageo’s finance rhythm and managing the finance integration agenda.
Top Responsibilities
  • Lead / Support on Financial Reporting & Planning process including Planning, O&R, FP&A, Reporting
    • Align Don Papa finance rhythm to Diageo’s
    • Maintain strategic financial plans eg. 3-5yrs as required (bi-annually)
    • Assess performance vs Acquisition Business Case to key Diageo team members
  • Support on Controls & Compliance agenda
  • Lead / Support on Finance Integration Agenda within Diageo
    • A member of the Diageo Don Papa Integration project team
    • Creating and maintaining project plan, critical metrics and reporting status vs plan
    • Oversight of Integration budget and ensuring appropriate WoW in place to manage the budget.

About You
  • Significant finance business partnering experience, ability to build excellent relationships.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset and numerical acumen, with attention to detail.
  • Finance change / Project management experience.
  • Sage systems knowledge or supply finance experience is a plus.
