Experienced Support Workers

<br>Who will I be supporting?

<br><br>

A gentleman in his 60s who has a mild learning disability and schizophrenia

<br>He lives in his own home and is supported by two support workers at all times

<br>He loves to play pool, eat out at McDonald's and listen to music

<br>He also enjoys going bowling and train watching

<br>This gentleman experiences complex behaviours of distress so it's essential that you have previous experience supporting someone with complex behavioural and/or mental health needs in the past, in order to be the best match for his team

<br>What will I be doing?

<br><br>

You will be supporting this gentleman to live his life how he chooses, to be himself, and to achieve his goals

<br>You will be supporting him with his daily living tasks like prompting with personal care, meal preparation, medication, cooking, cleaning and laundry

<br>You will be supporting him with his emotional and mental health needs, understanding his behaviours and supporting him to develop effective ways of communicating his needs

<br>What shifts are available?

<br><br>

Shifts start at 7am one day and finish at 7am the following day with a sleepover shift included (sleepover pay is £45 per shift)

<br>We're looking for people with flexibility to work on a rota basis that includes a combination of weekdays and weekends

<br>Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work life balance - something we're very passionate about!
