Legal Knowledge Manager, Liverpool Salary circa £28K + Excellent Benefits Package.
We are recruiting for a Legal Knowledge Manager to join the L&D team at a leading independent law firm which has offices across the North of England.
The role’s key responsibilities are:
Producing current awareness for Fee Earners
Emailing the contents of electronic journals and uploading any content to the Knowledge Management page
Managing journal subscriptions
Managing online renewals and negotiating when renewals are due
Training new starters – library inductions
Ensuring material based on KM page is up to date
Completing research requests
Daily/weekly/ad hoc emails to various FEs/groups/departments
Checking daily/weekly online for any information that would be useful to FEs/departments
Monthly budget reconciliation for accounts this includes a meeting with Kelly to discuss any material variances/forecasts
Responsible for a budget of £400K
Skills
Previous experience in the areas of legal, competitive and/or business information management.
Good knowledge of key legal, business and knowledge databases, and information / knowledge management tools, systems and associated technology.
Good proficiency in the full range of Office applications.
You need to be pro active as this is a ‘lone’ role
Discipline to maintain and ensure all library material is always up to date
Research skills
An understanding of online resources such as Lexis, Practical Law and Westlaw is important.
