Position Overview & Specifications
We are hiring Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a background in care and live-in positions, and hold at least Level 3 qualifications in their area of expertise. Our Support Workers will be responsible for the daily care of our clients, including administering medication, checking vital signs and communicating with health professionals on our client's behalf. The successful candidate will enjoy working in an energetic environment with a commitment to quality service for all of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Drive vehicles to deliver supplies and transport clients to social activities and medical appointments.
- Participate in programs that provide individualized care to clients (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, or social work).
- Complete administrative tasks associated with providing care to clients (e.g., billing, progress notes, or legal documentation).
- Act as a support person to community members as they receive medical treatment/therapy.
- Perform personal care tasks (e.g., feeding, bathing, or dressing) for a client.
- Assist clients in maintaining proper hygiene.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (e.g., eating, bathing, grooming, dressing) and provide companionship.
- Monitor and medicate patients who live at home either full-time or part-time.
- Transport individuals to sheltered housing facilities if they are unable to transport themselves.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 0-40 per week
