THE GIG

You will add value to the business through driving technology and process efficiency improvements in line with the Business Strategy as part of the Retail Operations and Experience product team.

The role involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives globally across the Retail operations and Experience product team.

You will be contributing to the functional areas of applications enhancements, from defining business and systems requirements right through to UAT, training and implementation, dealing with high-level stakeholders in a business-critical, fast-moving role.

As our Programme Manager for Retail Operations and Experience, you will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of an agile product team, attending and participating in agile ceremonies
  • Assist and support Business Solutions Lead with enterprise applications continuous improvement initiatives and change projects
  • Review and analyse current operational processes and information requirements to provide feedback on existing system facilities
  • Support and assist the design and delivery of value-adding technology solutions in line with the business strategy
  • Assist with the identification, analysis and documentation of business and technical requirements (e.g. process, solution design, configuration, security, documents, reports)
  • Ensure that new solutions are clearly documented and adequate training is provided
  • Provide 3rd line support for day-to-day BAU issues and keep on top of system bugs logging, testing and resolution
  • Adhere to a strict change control policy for all application developments and configurations
  • Support the Test Manager with the design and execution of tests for continuous application update releases

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Hands-on experience with retail POS systems and integrations with satellite applications
  • Proven ability to learn and test new business application functionalities
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets (e.g. Excel)
  • Ability to write clear business documentation, such as business process documents, technical specifications, and training documents
  • Experience in business change initiatives within a large organisation
  • Experience in a retail-focused role in the retail industry

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Innovative, creative, and forward-thinking
