The Job Responsibilities


The Marketing Specialist is responsible for organising, running, and supporting all cross-segment marketing activity in the UK & Ireland for Fire, Defence and Security, Mining and Tunnelling, Draeger Marine and Offshore and Draeger Hire business sectors.


This includes but is not limited to marketing communications planning and implementation of a multichannel plan, including events management, PR, content creation, digital activity, translation and approval management, print & print logistics, tool support, online surveys, photo & video shooting, merchandising and office management tasks.


They liaise with, and support, the regional and local marketing team including the communication team, marketing managers and other local functions where required.


  • Work with relevant departmental Marketing Manager/s to deliver the marketing plan for each business sector. Support the local Marketing team in all aspects of office management and administration (e.g., processing orders & invoices, meeting preparation etc.)

  • Work closely with other Draeger Marketing Specialists to find areas of best practise and apply to UK & Ireland as appropriate. Obtaining necessary consent and providing final approval on all marketing collateral.

  • Provide regular and informed updates to the Marketing Team around event and PR planning including Social Media Scheduling, Press releases. Development of press releases and case studies working with PR Partner.

  • Ensure Marketing budgets are effectively managed and monitored in terms of ROI, ensure continuous check and improvement of internal processes and procedures. ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ensures availability of all approval records, in accordance with the local approval process.

  • Ensure applicable processes in accordance with the Dräger global branding, manage relationships with key external facility providers, accumulate feedback on relevant activities.

  • The Marketing specialist is responsible for the execution of industry events in consultation with marketing managers, sales, commercial departments, and the Head of Marketing for UK & IRE.


Your Qualifications
  • Education in a Marketing or business discipline preferred or relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English language
