Marketing Technology Lead

About Us

We’re the UK's number one choice for homewares – we’re ambitious about our brand, about being a good company, and about profitable growth.

With 13 million active customers in the last 12 months, we offer over 50,000 products, including our own Dorma and Fogarty brands, across 170+ stores. We operate the UK’s largest Made to Measure factory for curtains and roman blinds. We’re also developing products to help customers live more sustainably by introducing new materials and circular design and broadening our ‘The Edited Life’ ranges.

Our renewed purpose is ‘to help create the joy of truly feeling at home, for now and for generations to come.’ And we have three ambitions: ‘ambitious about our brand’ ambitious about being a good company’, and ‘ambitious about profitable growth’. We’re focused on growing as the number one choice for home, furniture and more, loved by our customers shopping more frequently in a fast-moving, post-pandemic environment.

The Role

The role will combine hands-on use of technologies such as Google Analytics and Tealium, with the ability to advise on marketing technology strategy to ensure that customer data and understanding can be used to drive more personal, relevant experiences for our customers across the various channels and touchpoints they engage with.

More specifically you will:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on key tools such as Google Analytics, Tealium and Customer Data Platforms to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, configuring and maximising their use across digital touch points
  • Support the marketing teams in understanding the potential applications of marketing technology and facilitate the capture, shaping and translating of different marketing needs into marketing technology use case requirements
  • Document key steps and enable/train key internal users on building Tealium audiences in the most effective and efficient way possible.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team, you’ll ensure our marketing activities are being accurately tracked, measured and reported in GA4
  • Provide data and insights to the wider business areas to help measure performance and customer engagement
  • Oversee and govern existing tag performance and maintenance. Responsible for the implementation of new tagging requirements in Google Tag Manager
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the GA4 data infrastructure and pipelines across our projects and products.
  • Working as part of a specialist team developing a product roadmap for GA4.

About You

  • At least 3+ years in a similar role ideally with experience in single customer view development and using the resulting insights to power more personalised experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience working in Google Analytics (including GA4) with strong understanding of reports (metrics, dimensions, custom events).
  • Demonstratable experience with Google Tag Manager – you will ideally be able to make recommendations to the business on server-side tagging.
  • Knowledge of the Google Analytics to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) migration process.
  • Good understanding/working knowledge of digital marketing campaigns & channels; website, CMS, email marketing & marketing automation, CRM, social, paid media
  • You will ideally be naturally growth minded and able to continually demonstrate how you “get things done” throughout the interview process.
  • Hands on, technical knowledge working with Tealium products is desirable
  • Analytically inclined and able to work with and define metrics, including taking metrics-oriented goals.
  • Able to provide and implement recommendations and best practices to the team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - working with highly cross functional teams and various internal departments will all be key.
