Position Overview & Specifications
Due to recent expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for
intelligent, hardworking and committed individuals to work within a
well-established Bristol auction house.
The successful candidates will have proven jewellery industry
experience.
The roles will involve:-
- Valuation, consignment and cataloguing of jewellery and identification
of gemstones
- The smooth management of our client's jewellery, throughout the
auction process, from consignment to dispatch, within the jewellery team
- The co-ordination of photography and visual material to promote our
auctions
- The management of our online jewellery auction catalogues ensuring
catalogues are proofed and produced to deadlines
- Provision of condition reports
- Co-ordination of jewellery valuation, viewing and sale days
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities:
· Excellent communication skills
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Excellent organisational skills
· Proven experience working with jewellery
· Gemmological qualifications and or experience
· Quick to learn with drive and determination with the desire to
progress within the auction industry.
· A positive working attitude, who can bend and flex with the
needs of a busy auction schedule.
· Good written and spoken English,
· Good computer and internet skills,
Pay rate dependent on experience, with excellent potential for
progression after an initial trial period to a permanent position.
Additional Information: Hours: Monday to Friday (9am to 5:30pm)
Occasional extra hours as and when required (as to the needs of the
business).
