Position Overview & Specifications
You will join a large well-integrated multi-disciplinary team. The psychological therapies workforce are immersed in the MDT and include 3 Psychologists, 2 CBT Therapists and Assistant Psychologists.
The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessments, formulations and therapies for people experiencing psychosis, specialist risk assessments and advice on risk management, and provide psychological advice and consultation to others involved in service user care. They will ensure that all members of the multidisciplinary team have access to a psychologically based framework for understanding clients through the provision of advice, consultation and the dissemination of psychological research and theory.
The clinical work is undertaken in a range of inpatient and community resources including the client’s own home. The geographical area covered by the service requires the post-holder to drive.

The post holder will provide specialist teaching and supervision and advice concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment of this client group. They will regularly attend multi-disciplinary team meetings. The post holder will utilise research skills for audit, policy, research and service development within the service as a whole and specifically for psychology within the service. They will keep up to date with policy development, and work with the team to implement policy changes within the area served by the team.
The post holder will participate in CPD and other developmental activities, keeping up to date with relevant psychological research and national guidance. They will attend clinical, professional and managerial supervision.
