The job itself
We have an opportunity for a full-time fixed term Employment Services Advisor to support delivery of the councils’ payroll service.
The payroll team provide a comprehensive professional and accurate pay processing function covering both council employees and external clients.
Daily tasks in this busy team include attachment to payroll including gross to net calculations ensuring appropriate legislation and terms and conditions are applied, car mileage claims, timesheet input, position changes and new starters to ensure employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
The role includes responding to pensions queries so a good knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme would be advantageous.
