Position Overview & Specifications

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our team in the Trust HQ.

This is a crucial role within the Trust Secretariat team and requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a wide experience in committee meeting management, with particular importance placed on attention to detail and providing a high standard of minute taking and action management.

The successful candidate will need to possess excellent organisational abilities vital in balancing competing priorities, be flexible, focused and be able to build relationships quickly. You will ideally be an experienced committee secretary with an in-depth understanding in providing support to Board/ Executive level leaders and be solution focused to manage the various competing priorities.

The role be based at Ipswich Hospital, have you may be required to travel to our Colchester site when required in line with service needs.

Interviews will be held on Friday 16 June 2023 at Ipswich Hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Board of Directors and some of our Board Committees, preparing papers, effective minuting of meetings and all administration, supported by the Trust Secretary. They will also provide Executive Assistant support to members of the Board including complex diary management, recognising the importance of confidentiality and sensitivity of issues and able to use the utmost discretion. The previous post holder remains in the team and will be able to provide advice.
