Baghouse Assistant Operator

This is a great opportunity for someone to join a well-established, world leading company in our Engineering team at Darley Dale, Derbyshire. Ecobat Resources is the world’s largest producer of lead and lead alloys used in energy storage solutions and a range of other industrial and commercial applications. Alongside our lead production and recycling operations, Ecobat Resources also manages the recycling of polypropylene used in the development of premium polymer solutions.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday (6:00am – 14:30pm)

Responsibilities:

• Day to day maintenance duties
• Assisting the Maintenance Technician (Baghouse) personnel
• Housekeeping within all baghouses and any other specifically designated areas that are the direct responsibilities of all baghouse personnel
• Ensuring that all work carried out conforms to the requirements of Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy policies.
• Working in extreme conditions where health and safety is paramount.
• Working safely and efficiently, whilst following all company procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with PPE standards at all times e.g. air-flow helmets, P3 masks, heavy overalls, nitrile gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs etc.
• Give blood lead sampling as required to monitor blood lead levels.
• Undertake any duties allocated by the Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Coordinator or other senior managers as and when required.

• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Manual handling experience
• Reliable worker
• Health and Safety knowledge
• Must have a full clean driving license
