Compliance Assistant

Edenred PayTech is now hiring a Compliance Assistant to come and join our growing Legal and Compliance teams.
We are a Mastercard Principal Member, and an FCA Electronic Money Institution, offering a range of cutting edge services including Payment Processing, UK and SEPA banking solutions, BIN sponsorship, and eWallet provisions. We work with various clients across Challenger Banking (Monese, Tide, Anytime, and more), Corporate Benefits (Fuel cards, restaurant tickets), and Retail and Travel services (Sainsburys, TUI, Argos).
The Compliance Assistant will support the Compliance Manager, undertaking and managing regulatory compliance processes and activities, in a highly regulated environment. This role has a particular focus on Electric Money Regulations (EMRs), the Payment Services Directive (PSD2), and the Financial Conduct Authority handbook.

The role is a Hybrid position located out of either Swindon or London, you will be required to attend the office weekly.
What you will be doing:
  • Preparing and completing all regulatory reporting applicable to PPS
  • Preparing presentations for board committee, key stakeholders and the regulator
  • Developing program terms and conditions and agreeing these with PPS client or agent
  • Reviewing and approving Financial Promotions and customer communications
  • Appointing agents with the regulator and ensuring the register is kept up to date
  • Implementing new regulatory requirements including the new Consumer Duty
  • Defining and implementing compliance controls
  • Developing and maintaining compliance risk assessment
  • Regulatory horizon scanning and understanding how the changes impact PPS
  • Updating key stakeholders including PPS clients and agents with upcoming regulatory changes and its impacts
  • Preparation of the Conduct Risk Report
  • Developing, communicating and implementing compliance related policies
  • Representing PPS and the compliance team within internal and external meetings
  • Any other compliance areas as required by the Compliance Manager
What we want from you:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred but not essential. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (EMRs, PSD2, AML) would be an advantage
  • Trainee role maybe considered for the right candidate that is educated to A Level (or equivalent) level
  • The role requires a proactive individual who is conscientious and highly organised
  • Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to changing business priorities and deadlines
  • Requires the ability to work collaboratively with team members across multiple divisions and departments
  • Requires ability to work under pressure to deadlines and complete work to a high standard
  • Requires excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
