Position Summary
Following an internal promotion within the UK HR team, we have a rare and exciting opportunity to recruit an HR Advisor on a fixed term basis to join our UK team for a period of 12 months. This exciting and varied role will provide a best practice HR service to The Malts, Finance, Legal, Technology, Corporate Affairs and Brugal UK Business Units, based in the UK. Reporting to The Head of HR, FLT & Malts, the role will support and coach line managers to deliver their people plans and work collaboratively with the Reward and Talent teams to deliver the HR strategy.
Job Description

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Support the Head of HR and help advise and coach line managers with the following annual processes / cycles -
    • Calibration, PDR, objective setting, development planning, succession planning - to ensure performance is effectively managed and every employee has a development plan in place in order to support personal and business growth
  • Work with hiring managers and Resourcing Manager to attract and recruit the best talent. Ensuring job descriptions are properly written, accurate and graded
  • Proactively support the development of new line managers to ensure they understand our people processes
  • Support Head of HR and line managers in the execution of plans to increase employee engagement as informed through insight from our engagement surveys
  • Support and coach line managers in the investigation and handling of grievance and disciplinary matters
  • Support Head of HR in change management activities
  • Keep up to date with employment law changes and consider the impact on company policies
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to manage end to end processes throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Respond to reward related queries, referring to reward team as necessary
  • Ensure all employee data is kept up to date and ensure changes are processed in our systems in accordance with agreed timelines
Skills and Experience

To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to degree level within HR or a related field, or have experience commensurate to this level of role within a busy HR department. You will have up to date knowledge of employment law, ideally, you will be CIPD Qualified to Associate level or willing to work towards this. You will have the confidence and gravitas to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders cross functionally with the ability to plan and prioritise short- and longer-term workload. You will have a passion for Generalist HR and be IT literate with strong experience of utilising HR technology.
