Electronics Test Support Technician
This is a 6 month secondment opportunity either a perm or temp menber of staff for an ICT Fixture Technician.
Mission
To provide technician level first-line support for all PCA Test Systems in Operations, with the main focus being the fixture re-probing project.
Main Duties & Key Skills
Work with PCA manufacturing engineers to progress FTTFR reduction project. Inspect test fixtures for long-travel or removed probes and feedback to fixture supplier to ensure information up to date. Carry out re-probing and re-gasketing of fixtures after their oven profiles are updated.
Carry out extra heavy overhall of PCA fixtures ¼ and ¾ life points, as part of full lifecycle maintenance process.
Carry out annual inspection and servicing of all ATEs and functional test systems.
Carry out TEG level ATE fixture repeairs flagged up during maintenance inspections (eg gas strut replacement).
Manage spares stocks.
Organise ATE backing pump maintenance.
Maintain Test Support workshop.
Aid in building, commisioning and acceptance of new test systems.
Initial first level investigation on failed functional test systems.
Qualifications
Education level: A-level NVQ level 3, or ONC in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
Be able to read circuit schematics.
Methodical and eye for detail.
Ability to accurately interpret and follow technical instructions.
Other requirements: Good team working ability and interpersonal communications skills are critical. Flexibility to perform multiple roles as part of a small team. Outgoing personality and ability to identify improvements and effect change
