Electrical Maintenance at our Barony plant in East Ayrshire has an opportunity to work on shift (12 hours, 4 days, 4 nights). Training will be provided on our PLCs, SEW VFDs, with a pre-requisite to complete IOSHH training also.

Hourly Rate: £20.80 per hour

Your Tasks

• Operate as a member of the team in the Electrical Engineering Department helping to achieve optimum plant utilisation and efficiency.
• Maintain and repair all electrical equipment on a shift basis, whilst ensuring an acceptable level of housekeeping in the department.
• Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/ accidents and hazards are duly reported.
• Complete electrical SAP reports detailing daily tasks performed and shift reports at the end of every shift.
• Attend any further training courses as required.
• Assist in apprentice training where required.

Our Requirements

• SVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering or equivalent is essential, preferably with an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• HNC Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential.
• Working knowledge of PLCs (Siemens S7 and TIA portal preferably), which you are able to fault find and repair.
• Good technical knowledge of industrial electrical and electronic hardware, e.g. Frequency Convertors, Softstarts, Safety Relays, Temperature, Pressure and position controls etc.
• Operate a Fork Lift Truck, however training can be provided.
• Intermediate standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Relevant experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work on a four shift pattern (12 hour shifts)
