Position Overview & Specifications

Overview:
Element Digital Engineering provide technical advice and consultancy services, using digital technologies such as specialist engineering simulation, data science and technical software, to provide clear answers to our clients’ complex technical challenges. We work across several industries, both in the UK and internationally.

Thanks to sustained growth in demand for our services, we are looking for Engineering Consultants specialised in Structural / Stress, CFD / Thermofluids, Critical Parts Lifing, Electromagnetics, Data Science to Technical Software to expand our consultancy business.

We welcome applications from both experienced
candidates and recent graduates.

These positions are available across all three of our offices in Cambridge, Derby and Bristol.

Responsibilities:
Working as part of an innovative team developing a wide range of technical solutions, you will utilise your engineering, mathematics, simulation, data science and technical software skills to deliver insight.

You will be client facing and need to work with a range of engineers and managers to translate the client’s challenges into value propositions and build and deliver new digital services at scale and speed. You will be user-centric, adopting an agile approach to continuously validate assumptions with the client.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (grade 2.1 or above), Masters or PhD or in a relevant engineering, science or applied mathematics discipline. A PhD in a relevant discipline or topic would be highly advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in either Structural / Stress, CFD / Thermofluids, Critical Parts Lifing, Electromagnetics, Data Science or Technical Software
  • A high proficiency in the use of programming language such as Python, VBA or C++ would be advantageous
  • Ideally Chartered (or equivalent) or actively working towards chartership status
  • Like a challenge, are flexible thinkers and aren’t intimidated by unfamiliar problems
  • Enjoy client and colleague interaction and taking responsibility
  • Want the opportunity to work within a growing and dynamic engineering team
