Forge Press Operative

Elevation Recruitment’s Skilled Shop Floor team have been exclusively retained to manage a recruitment campaign for our prestigious client based Sheffield.

They currently have a vacancy available within the Forge.

Forge Press Operator

Working Hours: 3 shifts – Mornings, afternoons & nights.
Monday – Friday.

Hourly Rate: £14.70 p/h - £16.50 p/h inclusive of shift allowances.

Overtime: Paid at time and ½ after 37.5 hours

Reporting to the Forge Team Leader, the Forge Press Operator will be responsible for:

• Operating forge presses for the manufacture of small medical components
• Operating furnaces
• Usage of tongs to transfer materials in a safe manner
• Following strict health & safety guidelines

Essential experience for the role:

• Must have experience of working within a forge
• Forge press experience is desirable
• May be open to training an individual with forging experience who would like to step into a press role
