Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for a passionate and fun Playworker to work our before and afterschool club.
Term time the hours are Monday - Friday 7.15am-9/3-6pm, this does not have to be every day this could be two or three times a week - morning or afternoon or both.
We also operate in the school holidays and hours can be between 7.30am-6pm, we are looking for playworkers to join our team over the summer holidays.
Responsibilities
- To provide a wide range of stimulating activities which encourage learning through play and co-operation, both indoors and outdoors, appropriate to the ages and needs of the children within the setting.
- To show patience, tolerance and warmth to all of the children.
- To understand the physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social needs of the children.
- To demonstrate a welcoming and understanding approach to parents and carers.
- To promote an inclusive practise.
- To treat all information as confidential.
- Cook and serve tea on a rota basis
- Light cleaning
- Outside play
- Risk assessments.
- To observe safety measures and procedures.
- To report any injury/accident to the head of room, deputy manager or manager and to record it in the correct way.
- To attend team meetings and assist in the planning of the programme.
- To attend training courses, that will develop your skills and better your knowledge within the field.
- To be familiar with and follow all policies and procedures.
- To carry out relevant duties as directed by the head of room, deputy manager or manager.
- To be a key person to reception children
- To complete targets and carry out research in your own time.
- To observe safety measures in order for the setting to run smoothly, safely and securely.
- We also are a forest school setting and we offer sessions in the out of school club, twice a week.
We are fully committed to Safeguarding, an enhanced DBS is required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £8.50-£10.54 per hour
