Job Title: Learning Platforms & Digital Marketing Internship

Location: Hybrid - Reading, Berkshire office

Role Type: 12 Month Contract Full-time Monday – Friday 0900-1730


About this Opportunity


This is a university sandwich placement, although we are open to considering those who have recently graduated.

We seek to hire a Learning Platforms and Digital Marketing intern who can work with complex integrations of learning content with our learning platform called Degreed. All of our digital learning is surfaced and accessible to Ericsson employees through Degreed but this relies on the learning suppliers integrating their content with Degreed using file transfer protocols and APIs. Working with new learning platforms you will also help support on experiments with new learning platforms and the introduction of new Degreed functionality ensuring a faultless and smooth implementation within the business.


You will start to explore digital marketing opportunities with Degreed enabling personalised notifications targeted at specific audiences and personas. With a flair for creating engaging websites, you will support on the maintenance and improvement of our Learning at Ericsson website – the global hub for all information related to learning. Working with other members of the Learning Ecosystem team you will support with creating communication assets for the launch of new initiatives.


You’ll get the opportunity to:

  • Plan and implement solutions to integrate learning content with Degreed identifying the best method for integration.
  • Demo and support the implementation of new Degreed functionality ensuring a smooth implementation within Ericsson.
  • Input to the overall systems architecture to deliver an effective end-to-end experience for people in Ericsson.
  • Create digital marketing campaigns that utilise functionality within Degreed and create marketing assets in collaboration with our Marketing and Communications Hub.
  • Maintain, improve, and work on new SharePoint sites with our Shared Service team in India.
  • Support team members in launching new initiatives with internal marketing assets.


Key Skills Required:


Are you a creative artistic person, with the strong organisation skills required to plan and manage multiple projects? Do you have great communication skills and thrive in an environment that promotes innovation, resourcefulness, and collaboration to succeed?


  • A passion for and some experience (from work experience, hobbies, or studies) in business marketing, as this role is based in the technical end of business marketing and involves designing marketing assets
  • Systems integration knowledge to clearly appreciate what is possible when integrating platforms.
  • Programming skills including coding experience, (this can be from studies, hobbies, or other work experience).
  • Studied project management within your degree
  • Currently working towards or recently graduated, (2018 onwards), from a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Digital Design or Business & Computing
