Position Overview & Specifications
As an International Inventory Planner in a fast paced environment, you will be responsible for managing the stock portfolio across multiple European warehouses for some of Europe’s biggest Retailers.
First class customer service is key as you will be working closely with the sales director and the International Customer Service Team.
You will need to be confident, analytical and be able to work as part of a well-established team.
Key accountabilities:
- Maintain availability at, or as close as possible to, 100% across a multi-hundred SKU MRP group
- Ensure stock value is kept as low as possible without impacting on availability
- Work with suppliers to improve performance (OTIF, adherence to inbound requirements etc)
- Work with key stakeholders (Purchasing, Sales, R&D, Imports) to optimise the flow of information around availability, stock value, forecasting accuracy, supplier performance
- Provide information to the business on product availability and stock valuations across managed skus
- Responsible for loading product forecast information
- Placing purchase orders
- Expediting purchase orders
- Working closely with the Imports department to ensure the best freight rates
- 3rd party warehousing
- Taking delivery bookings over the phone from Suppliers
Essential Experience / Special requirements:
- Have several years’ experience within a stock control, inventory management or demand planning role within a fast paced supply chain and be experienced in managing large numbers of products within an MRP group
- Be able to articulate the factors involved in ensuring orders are placed at the right time and at the right quantity
- Be passionate about ensuring availability of product
- Be service focused
- Be highly analytical and numerate
- Be able to form strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Far East ordering experience essential
- Be process driven
Technical / Functional skills:
- Be experienced on SAP (or similar) MRP systems
- Knowledge of customs clearance would be an advantage
- French Speaking also an advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000.00 per year
